By now, you may know that we love Flytographer! You can read about our previous experiences here and here. And I thought I would share our experience using them in London!
If you aren’t familiar with Flytographer, here’s a quick rundown: Flytographer is a company that arranges professional photo shoots for you while you are on vacation! They organize everything from finding the photographer to paying them so you don’t have to worry about any details while you are traveling.
We have used them in Copenhagen, Paris and now London, but they operate all over the world and in many major US cities as well.
You get to pick your photographer based on their profiles and portfolios and then, as long as they are available for your dates, Flytographer handles the rest!

We booked our shoot with Jackie King, for the day after our arrival in London. I always try to book early in the trip in case there is an emergency and either we or our photographer has to cancel. That way, we will still have time to rebook before our trip is over.
We picked Jackie because she seemed super fun and we loved how natural and relaxed her subjects were in the photos. We also asked our personal Flytographer concierge — EVERYONE gets a shoot concierge, not just us 😉 — which photographers in London worked well with kids and Jackie was at the top of the list!
On the morning of our shoot, it was raining and I got a message from Jackie with a new location for our shoot. She had us go to this wonderful indoor galleria, that had a beautiful glass roof that was both super aesthetic and also let it a ton of natural light so our photos didn’t look like inside photos at all. It was perfect.
Before our shoot, when we talked with Jackie, we told her we wanted two things in our photos: 1) red telephone boxes and 2) the Tower Bridge. These felt like really iconic London images that we couldn’t do without and we left the rest up to her.
The photos in the galleria turned out gorgeous and then we luckily got a bit of a break in the rain and were able to head outside to get the Tower Bridge and one of my favorite pictures of the shoot.
I love this picture in front of the HMS Belfast. It’s an old World War II ship that has been turned into a museum. I love how majestic the ship looks behind us with the UK flag flying. I also love that you can see part of downtown London in the distance with a few of our favorite buildings!
Jackie was so great with the kids. She had them cheesing it up for the camera even though they were jet-lagged and cold! It was amazing!
And then because they were so happy, we were even able to get a few photos of just mom and dad. It was truly a miracle!
This was our third shoot with Flytographer and I’m pretty sure that we are happier every single time. We have them hanging up in our homes, as the lock screens on our phones, every where!
